Electric Zoo Festival 2009 – Randalls Island NY – Labor Day Weekend

For those of us who haven’t got out of town plans this Labor Day weekend, there is plenty to do in the fine state of New York. One of the biggest, and I think, one of the best, is going to be Electric Zoo at Randall’s Island in NYC. The event goes for 2 days. Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th from 11am til 11pm and it’s going to be huge.

Growing up clubbing in the UK in the late 80′s / 90′s, I attended a few illegal bashes in abandoned aircraft carriers and woodland areas (I’m getting ring tingles as I write this) where we saw the start of acid house and the birth of Drum ‘n’ Bass.   I have a feelin I am going to be a kid in a candy shop again.

Featuring at this years Electric Zoo are some big name DJ’s like Armin Van Buuren, Roger Sanchez, Benny Benassi, Danny Tenaglia, Tiga, ATB and loads more.  Tickets are $70 for general admission on either day, and $140 for VIP access either day.  You can visit the official site here http://www.electriczoofestival.com
